Within the Nisi Masa - Videa "Human Rights and Visual Culture Meeting"
Video blogging(vlog) and podcasting are the recent additions to the popular activity of blogging (using online journals). This series of short workshops will introduce the concept and possibilities of such uses of online space, will share some technical skills for beginning a podcast or vlog and will serve as forum for dialogue and personal expression within the framework of the conference/meeting - presented by Kyd Campbell of InterSpace MAC.
The draft program of the workshop:
Day1 12th of November 2005 Saturday (10:00-17:00)
Introduction to using internet space for personal communication of human rights and other issues through the use of podcasting and video-blogging (vlogs)
Demonstration of examples, software and hosting options.
Focus on audio blogging (podcasting)
Group will create audio works together and will go through the process of putting them online.
Day2 13th of November 2005 Sunday (10:00-17:00)
Technical workshop for video blogging (vlog)
Group will create video works together and will go through the process of putting them online.
Group encouraged to work collectively to create a number of audio an/or video blog works to be put online.
Also:
There will be 20 minute presentation about InterSpace’s lack of permanent exhibition, event and working space (other than the internet) and discuss some of the past and current creative projects – presented by Kyd Campbell of InterSpace MAC
There will be some video presentations from the most recent events of InterSpace:
- CinemaSports
- Radio Territories
Equipment:
Participants can bring their;
- digital still or video cameras, web cams,
- digital sound recording devices
- sound recording equipments
- computers
It is not obligatory to bring these equipments. There will be equipments in the studio-room that the workshop will take place. But, the participants can bring these equipments with themselves to provide an easier working environment, if it is possible.
Number of Participants
For presentations and discussions there is no limit. Workshop is open to everyone.
To practice workshop, it is limited to 12 person.
Deadline for application is 10th of November 2005, Thursday.
